12 medals at national marathon championships

A few weeks ago we had a large team from Worcester competing at the national marathon championships. We have double national champions in k1 and k2 with Fergus in U12s! Louis and Doogal raced in U14s with Louis achieving silver in his k1 and gold in his k2, Doogal came in 7th in k1 and silver in k2. For the U14 girls Florence and Kaelyn came in 8th, great to see the junior girls looking strong! In U18s Lochie came 7th in k1 and in k2 achieved another podium for the Worcester team in 3rd. In U23s Katie took Gold in k1 and silver in senior k2 but was the quickest U23 boat. The Gold in the senior k2 was taken by another unexpected Worcester paddler Emily. In their respective age categories we had 3 podiums for our senior paddlers, Rach took home gold in her race, Jayne bronze and Mike bronze. Geoff came close to a podium with 5th and Andy was 15th. In the last race of the weekend, the chaotic mixed k2 we had 4 Worcester boats, Katie came 12th, Amy 24th and Rach 26th, Doogal unfortunately had to retire.
