Home-grown paddling brothers compete in Wild Water Racing World Championships in Slovenia

Worcester Canoe Club is celebrating the achievements of Lochlain and Finlay Lovell who have been selected to represent Great Britain at the Junior and Under 23 World Championships in Solkan, Slovenia.

Lochie will be competing in the under 23 K1 (single kayak) and the C2 (double canoe) class, in the classic and sprint races.

This will be his first World Championships, and first time competing for Great Britain.

Younger brother Finlay will be competing in the junior K1 (single kayak) class in individual classic and sprint. This will be Finn’s first World Championships, and first time competing for Great Britain as well.

Racing commences on Wednesday 2nd to Saturday 5th July.
